BEIJING - When Chinese-Canadian star Kris Wu was reported to have been arrested on suspicion of rape last Saturday (July 31), his fans came up with all kinds of audacious ideas to help him.

Some proposed to break him out of jail. Others offered to donate bail money and a few even swore to give up their Chinese citizenship to protest against the arrest.
