SINGAPORE - K-pop star Rain will be headlining the inaugural edition of Singland Festival, touted as Singapore’s first large-scale indoor New Year celebration.
The live entertainment event is slated to take place at Marina Bay Sands from Dec 31 to Jan 3, featuring four international stars across four performances.
The South Korean actor-singer, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, will front the New Year’s Eve show on Dec 31.
According to Singland Festival’s website, the 43-year-old will take the stage from 9.30pm for a 90-minute performance.
Taiwanese singer Terry Lin, formerly of pop duo Ukulele, will perform on Jan 2, from 8.30pm to 10pm.
On Jan 3, Canadian singer Henry Lau is slated to go on from 5pm to 6.10pm, while American singer Ne-Yo’s slot is from 9pm to 10.30pm.
Ticket prices for the shows of Rain, Lin and Ne-Yo range from $198 to $328, while those for Lau’s set range from $118 to $238.
The pre-sale takes place between Sept 15, 12pm and Sept 18, 11.59pm. Register for it at singlandfestival.com by Sept 14, 11.59pm, and receive a Sistic purchase link on Sept 15, 10am.
General sales will commence on Sept 30 at 12pm.
