SINGAPORE – Come August, South Korean rapper-singer-actress Bibi will be holding her first solo concert in Singapore.
The 26-year-old, whose real name is Kim Hyeong-seo, will play at The Star Theatre on Aug 23 as part of her first world tour, titled Eve. She had previously performed here in August 2024 as part of the K-pop music festival Waterbomb Singapore at Siloso Beach in Sentosa.
Ticket prices to her solo concert range from $148 to $308, and go on general sale via Ticketmaster on May 21 at 10am.
There will be three rounds of pre-sales via Ticketmaster prior to the opening of the general sale.
Members of Bibi’s Weverse – a South Korean-based international platform for fans – can access a pre-sale on May 19 from 10am to 2pm, though sign-ups for the membership pre-sale closed on May 11.
Mastercard card holders will enjoy a priority sale from May 19, 4pm, to May 20, 10am; while Live Nation members’ pre-sale is on May 20 from noon to midnight.
Prices for VIP tickets range from $268 to $308. VIP ticket holders will enjoy benefits such as entry to a soundcheck party held hours prior to the show, and will receive a postcard with a message from the artiste.
Bibi made her official debut with the single Binu in 2019, after appearing in the South Korean competition show The Fan (2018 to 2019), in which celebrities introduced prospective stars they had talent-spotted and pitted them against one another. Bibi was introduced by South Korean singer Yoon Mi-rae.
Since then, she has released hit songs such as Bibi Vengeance (2022) and Bam Yang Gang (2024). The latter means “chestnut jelly” in Korean and the song sparked a viral dance challenge in its home country.
She has also been nicknamed “dark IU”, a reference to fellow South Korean soloist IU. Both debuted as solo female singers and have acting credits to their name. Bibi has starred in series like The Worst Of Evil (2023) and Season 2 of The Fiery Priest (2024), while IU has played major roles in highly acclaimed works like the film Broker (2022) and TV series When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025).
But where IU’s discography is bright, vibrant, sweet and hopeful, Bibi skews darker, edgier and more provocative in her music, with one track titled Cigarette And Condom (2020).
In the music video for Bibi Vengeance, for example, she is shown kidnapping, torturing and then burying a man alive. In the music video for another song titled Animal Farm (2022), she is seen decapitating a man in slow motion.
