SEOUL – Fifty Fifty’s agency Attrakt announced on Oct 10 that the K-pop girl group will release a new album on Nov 4.

The five-member act will release Too Much Part 1, about six months after putting out their third EP, Day & Night, on April 29.

Pookie, the main track from the mini album, rose to No. 33 on South Korean online music service Melon’s Top 100 Chart. The song re-entered the music chart and climbed to No. 51 in July, riding on the popularity of Fifty Fifty member Chanelle Moon’s social media dance challenge.

Fifty Fifty debuted as a quartet – comprising Keena, Aran, Sio and Saena – in November 2022 with their debut EP The Fifty. Their breakout hit, Cupid, was released in February 2023.

Attrakt terminated its exclusive contracts with Aran, Sio and Saena in October 2023 following a legal dispute over the contracts.

The girl group made a comeback in September 2024 with Keena and new members Chanelle Moon, Yewon, Hana and Athena, and released the EP Love Tune.

Keena, 23, resumed activities in July after a two-month break, having suffered traumatic stress due to a legal dispute with producer Ahn Sung-il over the rights to Cupid. THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
