South Korean actor Lee Min-ho turned 38 on June 22 and his celebration was a sight to behold.
In an Instagram post on his birthday, the Boys Over Flowers (2009) star wrote in Korean: “I am grateful for the love that allows me to exist today. I hope you are as happy as I am.”
The series of photographs showed the heart-throb in a room full of balloons, cakes, flower bouquets and bags of gifts. He was in an all-black outfit and wearing a big smile. In one photo, he held a birthday cake with both hands.
The actor is famed for his roles in hit K-dramas such as City Hunter (2011), The Heirs (2013) and The Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016 to 2017).
His international success has also resulted in him having life-size wax figures at three Madame Tussauds museums – in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.
In 2022, Lee made his Hollywood debut in the TV drama Pachinko, which has earned critical acclaim. More recently, he appeared in K-drama When The Stars Gossip (2025) as an obstetrician-gynaecologist.
