K-couple Jisoo from Blackpink and actor Ahn Bo-hyun break up

SEOUL – They were touted as the power couple of the year.

But two months after going public with their relationship, Blackpink singer Jisoo and South Korean actor Ahn Bo-hyun have called it quits.

South Korean media outlet JTBC Entertainment News reported on Tuesday that Jisoo, 28, and Ahn, 35, have “naturally grown apart due to their busy schedules”.

In a statement to news outlet Sports Chosun, her agency YG Entertainment said: “It is true that Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun broke up.”

The relationship came to light in August, when South Korean media outlet Dispatch ran photos of them leaving Jisoo’s apartment building in Yongsan, South Korea.

Dispatch reported that the couple would meet up at her home whenever she returned from overseas. Ahn would also adjust his work commitments to accommodate her busy schedule.

Jisoo, who starred in the romance drama Snowdrop (2021 to 2022), is looking to further her acting career now that Blackpink have wrapped their successful Born Pink world tour.

The singer made a cameo in the South Korean spooky comedy film Dr Cheon And The Lost Talisman (2023). She is reportedly in talks to act in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, a film that could star K-drama actors Lee Min-ho and Ahn Hyo-seop.

According to pay TV network JTBC, Ahn Bo-hyun has two projects on his plate – a movie titled Noryang: Sea Of ​​Death and a romantic comedy series titled 2 O’Clock Date.

He was last seen in the romance series See You In My 19th Life (2023).
