Heart-throb Song Kang already has work lined up for him following his discharge from the South Korean military on Oct 1.

The 31-year-old’s agency, Namoo Actors, announced on Oct 2 that the 2025 Song Kang Fan Meeting (Round 2) In Seoul will be held at Yonsei University Centennial Hall on Nov 8.

The actor is known for starring in K-dramas such as Sweet Home (2020 to 2024), Forecasting Love And Weather (2022) and My Demon (2023 to 2024).

On Oct 2, he uploaded on Instagram several photos of himself in the military after the discharge. “2024.04.02–2025.10.01,” he wrote, referring to the dates he was in the army.

His fans posted on social media on Oct 1 a clip of him in a car greeting fans who were waiting for him outside his military unit. He gave them a casual salute and accepted their gifts.

He is reportedly in talks to star in K-drama Four Hands, with him being offered the role of a piano prodigy, according to South Korean media.

Meanwhile, fellow South Korean actor Kim Min-kyu was discharged from the military a day before Song, on Sept 30.

The Business Proposal (2022) and The Heavenly Idol (2023) star took to social media on the same day to address his fans, uploading photos of himself in military uniform.

“I enlisted on April 1, 2024, and was discharged on Sept 30, 2025,” the 30-year-old wrote in Korean. “A year and a half has passed – long if you think so and short if you prefer it to be short. Though there were difficult moments, I was able to complete my military service safely thanks to the fans who loved and waited for me, and to my wonderful seniors, juniors, peers and officers.”

He added: “I am also sincerely grateful to my fans who have waited for me with unwavering support. I promise to greet you with great projects and an even better image as soon as possible.”
