LOS ANGELES - Swedish director Ingmar Bergman's iconic series Scenes From A Marriage (1973) portrayed the slow disintegration of a marriage - and was so culturally influential, some think it led to a spike in divorce rates in Scandinavia at the time.

But writer-director Hagai Levi believes his new remake could have the opposite effect.
