SINGAPORE – A pair of popular J-pop acts will be coming to town and staging their shows at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Yoasobi – comprising vocalist Ikura, 23, and composer Ayase, 30 – announced on their official X account they will be embarking on an Asia tour, including a two-night stop here on Feb 22 and 23.

Ticket prices range from $108 to $258.

Fans can register to enter an early access ballot for tickets from Sept 13, 2pm to Sept 17, midnight, via www.sozolive.asia. Winners of the ballot will be notified via email from Ticketmaster Singapore on Sept 23, and will receive a unique early access code to purchase tickets during a pre-sale from Sept 25, 2pm to Sept 26, midnight.

General sales will open on Sept 27 from 2pm onwards.

The duo were last in Singapore for a concert at Resorts World Sentosa’s Resorts World Ballroom in January. Tickets to the gig sold out quickly and some scalpers attempted to resell the tickets, originally priced from $128 to $238, at $1,000 apiece.

The chart-topping Japanese sensation, known for numbers like the TikTok-viral Idol – the theme song for the anime Oshi No Ko (2023) – and their debut song Into The Night (2019), will kick off their tour in Seoul, South Korea, in December.

Aside from Singapore, the tour will also travel to cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei, Shanghai and Jakarta.

Ahead of Yoasobi’s shows, Japanese soloist Kaze Fujii will play at the same venue on Oct 26 as part of his Best of Fujii Kaze 2020-2024 Asia Tour, which will also travel to cities like Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.

Ticket prices range from $138 to $238 and will go on general sale on Sept 10 at noon via Ticketmaster ticketing channels.

There will be two rounds of pre-sales. Mastercard cardholders in Singapore will enjoy a priority sale from Sept 4 at 10am to Sept 6, 10am, and those with World and World Elite Mastercards have preferred ticket access to some of the best seats in the house when the general sale opens.

Live Nation members can access a pre-sale on Sept 9, from noon to midnight.

Fujii, 27, went viral in 2022 when his song, Shinunoga E-wa, which translates to I’d Rather Die and is from his debut album Help Ever Hurt Never (2020), became a TikTok favourite.

The track reached No. 4 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart and hit No. 1 on the platform’s local viral charts in 23 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Britain, France, Canada, Brazil and Egypt, and reached No. 2 in the United States.

Even prior to going viral, the singer-songwriter enjoyed great success in his home country. Help Ever Hurt Never and his second album Love All Serve All (2022) topped Billboard Japan’s Hot Album chart when they were released.
