Beverly Hills, United States - Adrien Brody won a Golden Globe for best actor in a drama on Jan 5 for his role in period epic The Brutalist, the second award for the film on the night.

The 51-year-old beat Timothee Chalamet for his role in A Complete Unknown, Daniel Craig for Queer, Colman Domingo in Sing Sing, Ralph Fiennes for papal thriller Conclave and Sebastian Stan for Donald Trump biopic The Apprentice.

Brady Corbet earlier took home best director for The Brutalist. The 36-year-old beat French favourite Jacques Audiard for Emilia Perez, Sean Baker for Anora, Edward Berger for Conclave, Coralie Fargeat for The Substance and Payal Kapadia for All We Imagine As Light. AFP
