LOS ANGELES - Magic Mike (2012) star Channing Tatum makes his directorial debut in the heart-warming road comedy Dog, which sees him play a soldier tasked with escorting an unruly military dog to its handler's funeral.

Tatum says the film was inspired by the last road trip he took with his own dog, Lulu, before she died of cancer, and how both humans and dogs deal with trauma.
