Dad of tennis champs Richard Williams is unconventional parent to extraordinary kids

SINGAPORE - Richard Williams helped raise two tennis world champions in his daughters, Venus and Serena, and the former security guard did it his way.

His training regimen was so tough that a neighbour suspected abuse and informed the authorities. He bickered with his daughters' coaches and tore into reporters whose questions showed insufficient respect. He created unusual punishments for his children when he found their behaviour lacking.
