South Korean girl group Blackpink have become the first artiste to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube.

In a Feb 20 post on its blog, YouTube presented the quartet – Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa – with a Red Diamond Creator Award to mark their achievement as the first Official Artiste Channel to reach that milestone.

The K-pop group have nine entries in YouTube’s 1 Billion Views Club.

Topping their songlist is Ddu-Du Ddu-Du (2018), which has earned more than 2.1 billion views, followed by Kill This Love (2019) with two billion views. Their How You Like That dance performance video (2020) has surpassed 1.4 billion views, while the original music video has 1.2 billion views.

Other billion-view entries include Boombayah (2016) with 1.7 billion views, As If It’s Your Last (2017) with 1.4 billion views, Lisa’s solo performance video for Money (2021) with 1.1 billion views, Jennie’s Solo (2018) with one billion views and Pink Venom (2022) with one billion views.

On Feb 21, the quartet posted a video thanking their fans, officially called ‘”blinks”, for helping them to achieve the record.

Rose, 29, said in the video: “This milestone is especially meaningful as we are apparently the first official artiste channel to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube. This is crazy.”

Lisa, 28, said: “Thank you to everyone at YouTube for all your support and for creating a space to connect with our fans from around the world, and most of all, thank you blinks for watching, listening and growing with us every step of the way. We wouldn’t be here without you.”

The group also garnered three of YouTube’s top 10 all-time 24-hour music debuts. Pink Venom recorded 90.4 million views in its first day, while How You Like That scored 86.3 million views, and Ice Cream featuring American singer Selena Gomez (2020) had 79 million views. Lisa’s solo single Lalisa (2021) is also in the top 10 with 73.6 million views.

Over the past 12 months, Blackpink have accumulated 3.3 billion views across YouTube, with the top viewership coming from South Korea (277 million views), India (223 million views), Indonesia (218 million views), Mexico (182 million views), the United States (180 million views) and Brazil (168 million views).

Blackpink recently concluded their world tour with 33 shows across 16 cities, including three consecutive nights at Singapore’s National Stadium in November 2025.

The group are set to release their third mini album, Deadline, on Feb 27.

Formed by South Korean entertainment agency YG Entertainment, Blackpink made their debut with their single Square One in 2016.
