SINGAPORE - A new band competition, Youth Music Matters, is giving young musicians a chance to perform at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix in September, as well as a one-month residency at live music venue and food park Timbre+ One North.

Open to musicians aged 15 to 25 who reside in Singapore, the contest is organised by Branded - the company behind music, entertainment and sports events such as the annual Music Matters - as well as food and beverage (F&B), music and events company Timbre Group. He adds in a press statement: “Both Awi Rafael, a chart-topping artiste and producer and co-managing partner and principal of Timbre Music Academy, and I have benefited greatly from participating in band competitions in our youth. We strongly believe that this collaboration with Branded reinforces Timbre Group’s commitment to the growth and development of Singapore’s music industry.”
