Los Angeles - Lily James has an affinity for playing early 19th-century women who are chafing against the conventions of their time.
The British actress was Lady Rose in the popular period drama Downton Abbey (2010 to 2015) and the protagonist in last year's (2020) film adaptation of the classic Gothic novel Rebecca.
