LOS ANGELES - English actress Kate Winslet has wrapped her tongue around American accents many times, including for her star-making turn in the watery disaster epic Titanic (1997).

But the accent for the Oscar and Emmy winner's new role in the limited series Mare Of Easttown - which is earning her some of the best reviews of her career - was one of the toughest to acquire.
