LOS ANGELES - Ansel Elgort studied both Japanese and journalism in order to play American journalist Jake Adelstein, who in the 1990s became the first foreign reporter at Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper.

The actor, who starred in action thriller Baby Driver (2017) and romantic drama The Fault In Our Stars (2014), headlines the drama series Tokyo Vice.
