Eczema cases up during pandemic

Frequent hand washing, becoming a new pet owner and working from home are among the causes for the skin condition

While hygiene levels here have improved during the Covid-19 pandemic with mask wearing and more frequent hand sanitising, there might also be more itching and scratching in general.
The National Skin Centre and private dermatologists interviewed have seen more cases of eczema during the pandemic. Doctors attribute this to factors such as more frequent hand washing, working from home or a new pet.
