SINGAPORE – The Avengers may not be assembling, but Anthony Mackie – the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s new Captain America – will be in Singapore on Nov 20.
Singapore’s Marvel and K-drama fans can look forward to meeting some of their favourite actors during A Night Of Stars, a free fan event featuring some of the stars of films and TV shows on the Disney+ streaming platform.
Jointly organised by Disney and Marina Bay Sands, the event will take place from 5.30 to 7.30pm at Marquee Singapore, a party venue at Marina Bay Sands.
American actor Mackie is the only Hollywood star to attend the event. He will be playing Captain America for the first time in the film Captain America: Brave New World, to be released on Feb 13, 2025. He succeeds American actor Chris Evans in the role.
K-drama fans can look forward to meeting the likes of actors Kim Soo-hyun, Park Eun-bin, Park Bo-young and Yang Se-jeong, who have upcoming drama productions on Disney+.
Two Japanese actors starring in the platform’s horror series Gannibal (2022 to present) – Yuya Yagira and Show Kasamatsu – will also be present.
