Christmas dinner doesn’t come with a dress code this year – or a cuisine code. At Shangri-La Singapore, the festive season is all about choice.
Classic Italian comfort lives at Waterfall Ristorante Italiano, where Chef Simone Loisi serves truffle-laced risotto and turkey roulade. The Lobby Lounge flips the script with Peranakan-style turkey, sambal-marinated and glazed with tamarind onion. And for those skipping poultry altogether, Origin Grill’s Chef Simon Bell brings Sanchoku Wagyu tenderloin and butter-poached Boston lobster to the table.
Whether your festive table leans European, embraces local flavours, or lands somewhere in between, the hotel’s four dining venues ensure no one’s compromising on their holiday cravings.
European and Peranakan feasts for holiday dining
This year-end, dining at Shangri-La Singapore is all about sharing moments over thoughtfully prepared food. Each restaurant brings the magic of Christmas to life with gourmet dishes the whole family can enjoy.
At Waterfall Ristorante Italiano, Chef Simone Loisi draws inspiration from home-cooked Italian meals and cherished traditions. Highlights include Yellowfin tuna tartare with avocado mousse and caviar, as well as risotto infused with white truffle and pecorino. The turkey roulade comes with saffron mashed potatoes and red fruit sauce. Don’t forget to save room for desserts like toasted panettone with Zabaione ice cream and wild berries. A dedicated Kids A La Carte menu is also available for little ones.
For a classic European festive feast, Chef Simon Bell has curated Christmas Set Lunch and Dinner menus at Origin Grill. Featuring the finest seasonal produce, you can enjoy high quality oysters, Boston lobster tail poached in butter and roast turkey roulade served with traditional brussels sprouts and carrot. There will also be premium cuts of beef such as Sanchoku Wagyu tenderloin and Tender Valley Black Angus striploin.
Celebrate the season with Peranakan-inspired creations at The Lobby Lounge, featuring a festive breakfast and a lunch of holiday classics with a local twist.

If you’re looking for a local take on festive celebrations, consider the Peranakan celebrations at The Lobby Lounge. Here, a sumptuous spread of Peranakan-inspired creations await. Start with a Christmas morning Semi Buffet Breakfast, featuring charcoal you tiao with mackerel otah, traditional mee siam, glutinous rice with dried shrimp and sambal sotong ball. Enjoy a lunch with Christmas favourites with a Peranakan twist such as roasted turkey marinated in homemade sambal with a tamarind onion glaze, a festive beef wellington and salted egg prawns with chilli padi.
For those who prefer a lighter, more whimsical gathering, the Enchanted Afternoon Tea Buffet at The Rose Veranda features an indulgent mix of savouries and sweets including mini salmon cones garnished with caviar pearls, smoked turkey, cranberry choux and the all-time favourite Grandma Log Cake and Toffee Cheese Brownie. Christmas cookies and tarts sweeten the deal.

There is also a whole turkey roasted in devil curry, which features bold Eurasian flavours. Another showstopper is the bone-in gammon ham that is glazed in yuzu and pomegranate honey, served with scallion potato mousseline and brussel sprouts.
