SEOUL - Jin of BTS will roll out a solo album in November, Korean media reported on Oct 14.
The album, titled “Happy”, will be released on music service platforms on Nov 15, reported Yonhap.
The release date was announced by his agency, BigHit Music, on K-pop fan community platform Weverse and the group’s official social media accounts.
Billboard reported that the project will feature six tracks, citing a media statement from BigHit.
Said BigHit: “Jin reveals his honest thoughts and feelings on what happiness means to him in the hopes that those who listen to the album will also find joy.
“Happy is a genuine, heartwarming gesture that invites listeners to join him on a journey to find happiness, offering them a sense of strength and comfort in their day-to-day lives.”
The artist dropped the digital single “Super Tuna” last week, adding a second verse to the original song from 2021. The single topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 57 regions and landed atop Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart, as did the original song in 2022.
His first official solo music was the single, The Astronaut, a collaboration with British rock band Coldplay which came out in October 2022 ahead of his enlistment. The song topped the iTunes Top Songs Chart in 107 regions and amassed 500 million plays on Spotify.
Jin hinted at the solo album in June when another BTS member, Jimin, shared the track list for his second solo album, writing “Jimin, I will be next. I will sing, too.”
