A few years ago, fashion designer James Gaubert found himself wading ankle-deep in discarded fabric at a Vietnamese factory.
"I was searching for a clothing manufacturer because I wanted to start my own fashion label, after spending over 20 years in the industry," says the Britain-born, Singapore-based designer.
