VENICE – The Venice Biennale is widely recognised as the pinnacle event of the art world, the lagoon city of Venice turned into a near-inexhaustible museum for three-quarters of the year.
Running till Nov 24, the 60th edition has 88 national pavilions and more than 30 other collateral exhibitions, featuring some star names such as Dutch-American painter Willem de Kooning and American artist Alex Katz.
