Sexual assault allegations against writer Neil Gaiman are just the latest in a string of scandals involving famous artists.

SINGAPORE – Oh no, not him too, was my rather resigned reaction when news broke about women accusing English author Neil Gaiman of sexual assault.
Gaiman has been one of my favourite writers since I discovered The Sandman comics (1989 to 1996) when I was in university. The influential series changed my snotty literature undergraduate’s mind about comics at a time when the genre was dismissed as kids’ stuff and adults reading them were regarded with a mixture of pity and derision.
