Books are not only a form of art, but they are also entertainment and time-fillers.

SINGAPORE – There is that trite saying that those who can’t do, teach. A comparable formulation that I have been pondering for a while is that those who can’t live, read. 

The most avid readers tend to start young, at a time when their peers are out kicking a football or typing up a storm in group chats to arrange post-school hangouts.
