Kyla Zhao's debut novel, The Fraud Squad, has been pitched as Kevin Kwan's Crazy Rich Asians (2013) meets The Devil Wears Prada, Lauren Weisberger's 2003 novel about a young woman plunged into the cut-throat world of fashion magazines.
