Malaysian comic artist Cheeming Boey, best known for his When I Was A Kid series, is turning to the woes of adulting in How Was Your Day (2024).

SINGAPORE – What started as a handful of doodles by Malaysian comic artist Cheeming Boey – secretly drawn for a friend nervous about her new job – eventually turned into his latest graphic novel.
Boey, 46, is best known for his popular graphic novel series When I Was A Kid (2011 to 2022). But in his latest book, How Was Your Day (2024), he leaves his childhood behind and moves on to the pains of adulting as a young millennial through the eyes of a reader-turned-friend he calls Cheryl.
