SINGAPORE – Nearly a decade of friendship has finally led Singapore-born American pianist Kate Liu, 30, and American pianist Eric Lu, 26, to play a full duo recital together.

Liu says via a Zoom call from Chicago, where she is based: “We’ve talked about it for some time as something we would love to do, having idolised the same people who have done duos, like Romanian pianist Radu Lupu, and wanting to do repertoire like that. Playing all the great pieces for the duo recital and the collaboration itself are a long time coming.”
