SINGAPORE – For two decades, Aravinth Kumarasamy, 56, barely slept.

In his 30s and 40s, he shuttled between cities for a local banking software start-up and was responsible for 800 people in 15 countries. At night, however, he composed music and dreamt up plays – passions he has pursued since he was 12 and seemed unable to get out of his mind.
