SINGAPORE – Australian film and theatre director Simon Stone has always carried a torch for South Korean actors.

Like many people, the 41-year-old is an acolyte of the K-wave, touting watching K-dramas as one of his favourite pastimes. But it is the East Asian culture powerhouse’s “manic culture” that for him holds inordinate appeal.
