Who: Dr Asma Diakite, 43, has been the director of Goethe-Institut Singapore since November 2024. She previously directed the cultural department of Goethe-Institut South Africa and coordinated the regional cultural programmes of Goethe-Institutes in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Her organisation is presenting the 28th edition of the German Film Festival, which takes place from Oct 23 to Nov 9. The full line-up, which includes Andres Veiel’s documentary Riefenstahl (2024), will be revealed at str.sg/HT5Y
