Who: Khir Johari, 61, author of The Food Of Singapore Malays: Gastronomic Travels Through The Archipelago, which

won the Best of the Best Book in the World prize

at the 28th Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Sweden in 2023.

He is hosting Serumpun, a symposium on the shared food heritage across the nations and cultures of Nusantara, maritime South-east Asia, at the Asian Civilisations Museum on Oct 19. Tickets are sold out.
