Film-maker Yeo Siew Hua's latest film Stranger Eyes premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival in competition.

Who: Yeo Siew Hua, 39, whose mystery thriller Stranger Eyes had its world premiere at the 81st Venice Film Festival on Sept 5. The movie, about a man whose baby daughter goes missing, was written and directed by Yeo, and is the first Singaporean film to compete for the festival’s prestigious Golden Lion award.

He is developing a seven-part psychological police thriller series The Fundamentals, a co-production by Akanga Film Asia (Singapore) and Volos Films (Taiwan), which is scheduled to shoot in Taiwan in 2025.
