Ms Shanya Amarasuriya usually make time to read short-form books two to three times a week in the quiet of the night.

Who: Ms Shanya Amarasuriya, creative director of B.P. de Silva Jewellers, a Singaporean heritage brand established in 1872. Ms Amarasuriya, who declined to reveal her age, studied gemology and jewellery design at the Fashion Institute of Technology New York. The fifth-generation jeweller took on the role of creative director in 2018.
