Several absences haunt Kevin Jared Hosein’s first novel for adults – chief of which is the mysterious vanishment of Dalton Changoor, inheritor of dubious wealth. He leaves behind his wife Marlee in his grand manor, and although his disappearance drives the story, we never hear from his perspective.
