SINGAPORE – Belgian theatre performance group Ontroerend Goed has turned finance and economics into a two-hour immersive game titled £¥€$ (LIES).
At a blackjack-style table, participants become part of the “1 per cent”, an elite group that controls the global economy. Each person becomes his or her own bank, using real cash exchanged for poker chips as currency. The money is returned after the game concludes.
