Christmas Art Spree at Mulan Gallery

If you are looking for a Christmas gift that is functional and aesthetically pleasing, swing by Mulan Gallery’s current display of wares by Singapore-based ceramicists.

In one corner, a set of oyster-shaped plates that can elevate a light appetiser dish. In another, a set of mountain-shaped cerulean vases perfect for small flowers. Each unique piece is a gesture more thoughtful than the average mass-produced ware.

Expect a variety of artworks with several artists on show. Works by Suriani Suratman, Heiko Schulze, Hiroko Mita and Eddie Yee provide earth tones and varied textures, while Karrisan Chua and Agnes Lim’s sleek wares are perfect for a minimalist home.

You can score smaller wares like cups and sauce holders for around $50, while larger bowls and vases with more unusual designs go for above $100.

Prints and paintings are also available for sale, including limited-edition prints of works by Singapore Literature Prize-winning comic artist Sonny Liew.
