SINGAPORE – Football fans’ most loyal companions can now properly join the celebrations during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with sportswear brand adidas launching its first pet collection in Singapore featuring the kits of Japan and defending champions Argentina.
Pet owners can get first dibs on the full collection, which includes other apparel and accessories, on May 15 at FurKids Fiesta, a pets-related event at CQ @ Clarke Quay Fountain Square. The pop-up runs across two weekends, from May 15 to 17 and May 22 and 23.
The jerseys cost $49 each.
From May 24, the collection will be available at selected adidas retail stores here or on the adidas website and app, the brand announced in a press statement on May 7.
It had on April 27 unveiled on Instagram its World Cup kits for pets, featuring the jerseys of Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Japan that mirror the design of those worn by players.
Besides the two World Cup kits, the collection here features T-shirts and accessories, including pet collars, a bandana and a pet carrier, with prices ranging from $25 to $179.
Adidas Singapore country manager Chen Rui Yuan said: “The whole idea was to extend the ‘mini-me’ concept, giving owners a way to visually connect with their pets through shared style. Beyond just apparel, we wanted to create a fun, expressive experience that pet owners could enjoy together with their furry companions.”
He added that the brand cannot confirm if the pet jerseys of Mexico and Colombia will be introduced here, noting that Argentina and Japan were a natural fit for Singapore, given the connection that fans here have with both nations.
He said: “As the reigning World Cup champions, Argentina commands a global fan base that includes Singapore.
“Meanwhile, Japanese culture has long been woven into the fabric of Singaporean life, from food and fashion to entertainment and lifestyle.”
Besides the launch of adidas Singapore’s Pet Collection, the public can also look forward to a wide array of pet-friendly stalls, activities and workshops from over 20 vendors at FurKids Fiesta 2026.
There will be a fashion showcase choreographed by local fashion director Daniel Boey, featuring rescue dogs trotting down the runway in the new adidas collection, among other items.
