This year's Golden Jubilee National Day Parade (NDP) was great and I look forward to next year's show.
I suggest that the Guard of Honour contingent be expanded next year to include the Singapore Civil Defence Force. It has come a long way, having contributed to our total defence and overseas missions to make us proud.
I also hope the organisers will make use of new technology to prevent the selling of NDP tickets in the open market.
One way is to issue tickets linked to applicants' mobile phones, instead of issuing paper tickets. They will have to show their tickets via their phones for entry to the event.
This will not only prevent the sale of such tickets, but also save on the manpower required to issue the tickets, as well as reduce the use of paper.
