It is common to see cars double-parking behind the shophouses at Block 145, Teck Whye Avenue.
The Electronic Parking System has been implemented at an adjacent carpark. Why isn't it done at this carpark too?
The double-parking not only causes obstruction on the single-carriage service road, but also blocks drivers who want to exit.
These drivers sound their car horns persistently to attract attention, thus creating a noise nuisance.
We have written to the authorities to suggest solutions, such as installing prominent road markings, signs and closed-circuit television cameras, and to step up enforcement.
But we have yet to receive any response.
How is the Housing Board going to solve this longstanding problem?
