My friends and I use the covered walkway beside Jurong East MRT station, overlooking JCube shopping centre, daily.

Numerous bicycles are chained to the railings installed along the walkway, which is very congested most of the time.

These bicycles partially obstruct the pedestrian walkway and are also an eye sore.

The authorities should consider setting up bicycle stands in the open field below the MRT viaduct, next to the covered walkway.

These stands should be two-tier structures which can accommodate two bicycles each. Those bicycles at the covered walkway can then be relocated to the bike stands.
