I travel by SBS Transit buses regularly and have noticed that the cleanliness of some buses has taken a dive.

Many of the vehicles are not swept regularly and stains from spilled beverages are not removed.

Recently, I was on bus service 3 and noticed stains on the floor of the bus that looked like they had been there for days or weeks.

Other buses I have travelled on are also quite dirty - with windows which have been stained.

Singapore has often been praised by tourists for its cleanliness. However, the general state of cleanliness in all areas here, especially its public roads, parks and bus stops, has deteriorated.

As a large transport operator, SBS Transit has an important role to play in upholding the clean image.
