Quick, creative response from NParks

I recently wrote to the National Parks Board (NParks) to inform it of the indiscriminate parking of bicycles around the Little India MRT station exits.

The bicycles were locked to the trees that were planted in the vicinity, making the place look very messy and obstructing pedestrian walkways.

I thank the agency not only for its quick response but also for its creative ideas in resolving the perpetual problem.

Shrubs are now planted around the trees. This not only discourages bicycle parking but also spruces up the area.

I hope these efforts can be replicated all over Singapore where indiscriminate bicycle parking is rampant.
