The Lee Foundation means charity, and we can feel its presence in the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, National Library, and many other places that benefited from its generous donations ("Lee Foundation chairman Lee Seng Gee dies, 95"; May 11).

The Lee Foundation has been donating generously to education, exemplifying the dictum that it is better to teach a man to fish, than to just give him a fish.

The foundation has set a good example for other successful businessmen to follow, to create a society that is caring, close and warm.
