Another way to reduce sugar consumption, other than diluting sweet drinks ("Make a habit of diluting sweet drinks" by Ms Amy Loh Chee Seen; Forum Online, April 17), is for drink stalls to reduce the serving size of sweet drinks.
Reducing serving sizes of sweet drinks allows consumers to enjoy their favourite drinks and satisfy their sugar cravings without having to worry about consuming too much sugar.
This saves the trouble of having to dilute sweet drinks, which people may not take the time to do, especially given the fast pace of Singapore society.
Being able to enjoy the drinks that one likes, while not consuming an excessive amount of sugar, is definitely a win-win situation.
