Clean up toilets at hawker centres, MRT stations

Our public toilets at MRT stations and hawker centres are in a sorry state.

They are dirty and wet most of the time. Often, there is no soap or toilet paper. Toilet seats are squatted on and not lifted after use, resulting in a foul mess. This often inconveniences subsequent users.

This situation does not befit our image as a clean and green city in a garden.

I urge the National Environment Agency and town councils to step up public education efforts with posters, especially in toilet cubicles, to drive home the proper use of toilet facilities.
