As a regular driver through the Woodlands Checkpoint, I appreciate the challenges that the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) faces ("Woodlands Checkpoint jam: ICA replies; Aug 3, and "Improve system at Woodlands Checkpoint", by Mr Ravi Govindan; July 27).
But despite the measures taken by the ICA, long traffic jams have been occurring frequently for some time.
Most of the time, the bottleneck seems to be at the customs clearance area. Perhaps, the ICA could focus on this area and consider further improvements or alternative solutions to resolve this bottleneck.
