There used to be benches available for passengers to rest on while waiting for the train at Redhill MRT station.

However, after a minor renovation a few years ago, the benches were removed and no new ones have replaced them.

Redhill is known to be an area with many elderly residents, a point reinforced by the Silver Zone project nearby in Jalan Tiong which aims to make roads safer for the elderly.

Could the authorities reinstate benches at the MRT station platform so that the elderly can rest while waiting for the train?
