SINGAPORE - Lee Foundation chairman Lee Seng Gee died of old age on Tuesday (May 10) following illness. He was 95 years old.

Mr Lee was the eldest son of philanthropist Lee Kong Chian, who was among the founders of OCBC Bank.

Mr Lee's maternal grandfather is the tycoon and philanthropist Tan Kah Kee.

Mr Lee Seng Gee's philanthropic efforts earned him the Public Service Star in 1992 and an honorary Doctor of Letters from the National University of Singapore in 2002. He took over the chairmanship of the philanthropic Lee Foundation in 1965.

Mr Lee is survived by his wife Della, two sons, a daughter and their spouses and six grandchildren. The wake will be held at his home at 87, Meyer Road, on Wednesday from noon to midnight and on Thursday from 9am. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11am.
