SINGAPORE - There are two very good reasons why the Monetary Authority of Singapore discourages people in the street from dabbling in cryptocurrency.

You probably know the first - namely that crypto can have wild price swings that can cause you to have sleepless nights. No matter which coin you bet on, expect a level of price volatility that would rarely be seen in most stock markets. This is why many financial advisers tell their clients to avoid these products unless they are prepared to face the risk of losing most if not all their money.
